1. Terminal overview
The Ingenico Move 5000 terminal is a countertop device which accepts payments via Wi-Fi or 3G with
an integrated printer.
This device has been designed for intensive daily use, and can also operate as a hybrid terminal,
combining integrated and standalone functionality within one device.
This terminal can process up to 450 transactions in GPRS/Wi-Fi with fully charged battery, printing and
backlit activated.
It can also remain powered ON up to 150 hours with connected GPRS link and terminal in sleeping
state starting with fully charged battery and without energy consumption related to backlit or radio link
IMPORTANT: The power supply unit provided with this equipment is specially designed for Ingenico
terminals. Do not use any other power supply.

2. Instructions: How to Use the Ingenico Move 5000
Menu key: To enter the application menus press the Menu key from the idle home screen.
Correction keys: When entering numbers or letters, the yellow ‘Clear’ key deletes one character at a
time; while the red ‘Cancel’ key deletes the entire line (this key also cancels transactions).
Confirmation key: The green ‘Enter’ key is used to confirm anything that has been typed into the
terminal.
Paper feed key: To test feeding paper through the printer press and hold the paper feed key.
Note: Press and hold the yellow key and the dot key together to reboot the terminal.
Installing a paper roll
Open the paper compartment by lifting the catch located at the rear of the terminal and pull the cover
to the rear of the terminal.
Insert the paper roll in the compartment following the directions in the picture below, with the paper
feeding from the bottom of the roll.
Pull the paper up to the top of the terminal.
Hold the paper and close the lid until it clips into position.

3. Accessing the menu
To access the main menu of the terminal, enter the password using the Key Pad.
Planet will manage set-up of the Password before the terminal arrives to the store.
The Password itself will be decided by the merchant.

4. Switching from Integrated to standalone mode
If the Merchant is facing a Network/LAN disconnection and the operator has enabled GPRS mode, the
terminal will operate in Standalone mode.
(The Merchant’s Network team should be able to advise the Merchant on status/issues related to the
Network Connection.)
To change the network configuration to enable GPRS, please follow the steps below.
The change is completed via the Ingenico terminal itself and when done all standalone functions will
become available.
To begin, access the main menu.
Select Configuration.
(The operator can use the Keypad or the
touchscreen to make their selections.)
